Sure could use a hand here. Have a Hyster R30E, Serial: D118D01672K. Complaint: Steering inoperative. Found code A5 01 on the card. Checked the steer pot and it only had resistance up to 4K with a couple turns left that had no resistance, and the pot is a 5K. I can manage to get the steer assembly straight and set the pot at 2500 ohms, as soon as the steering goes past the 4k it loses communication, then steering will not self center. Ordered pot and installed. Checked pot and now have same issue with the new pot. I failed to check the ohm range of the new pot. It also only reads to 4k then open with a couple turns left. Either my theory of the original pot being bad is wrong or I got a pot that was no good, or both. A kick in some kind of direction would be greatly appreciated.
