Unless things have drastickly improved i would never call a hoist exceptional i did a lot of work on them particularly the FKE which i found not too bad and the Titan which was a complete disaster. We had tilt cylinders snapping regulary complete brake failures hub reduction units failing on nearly a monthly basis regular transmission failures common cooling faults on the V6 it was nearly impossible to stop them overheating Masts snapping Hoist came up with a new stronger masts and these all failed too, and don't get me started o the service times lol. Parts back up 12 weeks for brake shoes not good at all I ended up with a bigger service van just so i could attempt to keep them in service. These trucks lost us a big long established customer. Yes the components are the same as other machines Gm engines etc but they were really badly put together never want to see one
again let alone work on one!!!
