Hi a bit of a newbie to forklifts and this site so please be gentle.
we currently have an old Atlet 125 t 280LSB Pedestrian pallet lifter on-site and we are looking to convert this from a standard pallet lifter to a reel turning unit by adding a Meyer Paper Reel Clamp.
i know we have the 2 extra hydraulics to run the clamp but i'm not quite sure on the the class of the mount to the cradle and if the clamp and a 450kg reel of paper would be safely within the lifting capacity.
the spec for the clamp are:-
360 degree swivel
lift capacity - 1000 kgs
opening range - 1190 mm
clamp weight - 410 kgs
fits 16" carriage - class 2A

any help and advice is greatly received, cheers.

Fact of the week
At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
