E21 is mass air flow sensor signal circuit malfunction
E23 is Throttle Position Sensor signal circuit Malfunction


do a search in the forum for the "pedal dance" to clear codes,or if there is an OBD II connector under the cup holder can use an automotive code reader to clear them...another option is to unhook the battery...the time frame is much debated but try it for a half hour and see.....if the codes are still active and he problems haven't been resolved then they will just come back..
