There's a least four wires to the connector block if not five located directly under the seat canopy. And the hood switch is of the magnetic type two wires in the right hand rear corner, if the switch and magnet were out of alignment the truck would not start. A lesson I learnt with systems like these if there's no code then the system dose not see a problem. It might show you that you have selected a direction but if there's no pressure on the sencers then it dose not see a problem.
