Good day Joe not sure why your trucks need to use 6 wires, mine are 7400's and only use 4 and have two spares. I just checked on the carriage where the terminal blocks sits, yeah all six are connected to the terminal but if you look closely on the other end two have nothing attached to it, again it might be something different but who knows.
