My company produces instructional (training) materials that are customized by make, model and specific workplace environment in which the forklifts are used. Does anyone on the list know of a generally acceptable protociol (letter?) for requesting to use the copyrighted images (photographs) such as those posted on the manufacturer's web sites? The intended use of the images would be as graphical labels for the paper-based and web-based instructional materials that we publish.
