Agree with Kevin T. but will add that non marking tires are a softer compound than black tires (i. e. lower durometer rating) and will wear out a bit faster. This is why the static build up occurs. A static strap (flat braided wire) is preferred less chance of hanging up vs a chain and less noise.
Non marking tires are a widely used in all sorts of industry and have been around since Hector was a pup. The only complaint I ever heard about them is when the lift is not fitted with a static strap & the operator gets a good jolt, especially in the winter time.
