You think good because something get discharged and you have problem to start up. you must to check voltages and to see are they good if not problem is outside in wiring or contact if is everything is ok with voltages problem is in control box.
One more thing check that line to contactor maybe you have there problem in coil or contact how i know signal for contactor come from control unit.Good luck
