Hi there... First post for me here.... Did some searching and did not find my answer.... Hopefully someone can chime in...

We have an 1978 Hyster S30A which the alternator has decided to charge then not charge twice every second.... When we put the volmeter on it, we clearly see 14v-0v-14v-12v-4v-0v- etc... very fast... So naturally I Started my search for an alternator... But I have been running into an issue where I can't find anything for a S30A..... but I can find a few for an S30.... Does someone knows what the A means and if it is important in my search for an alty ? I guess I could dismantle the alternator in order to find a part number or something but since this forklift is in use pretty much all day I would have preferred to find the new part and only take it apart once....

Can someone help a bit here ?

Tks alot
