OK, I have asked this before and understand some application when using these units, but let me ask - request some additional input - opinions. We all are aware and are seeing the introduction of the (somewhat new to the States) "Articulating" forklift units, one being The Flexi. I understand some of the advantages that can be gained by using these units, but my main concerns lie with the safety and more specifically the training on operating these units. Reasons: They are different. Everything I (we) train on when authorizing "conventional" forklift operators changes, e.g. steering, load distribution, stability triangle....and other areas. So, what I am looking for is others who have or are using The Flexi or similar units, your concerns, Do's and Don'ts. Also I see that a beverage company in Allentown, PA was recently cited by OSHA, some forklifts concerns and when searching it noted The Flexi but I can not find the entire article where that reference is made. Sorry for such a long post, but I am on my third cup of "Joe", thanks for understanding.
