Lucky, Looks like mike n did a great job of answering your question. You should have been given that same answer from your local dealer. If you have a service manual you should be able to diagnosis any problem from the dash with no problems. I am sure the dealer would be glad to send someone out to go over the machine with your mechanic. The software you are talking about is to let the dealer add options to the machines if wanted. Lucky have you run into any concerns your mechanic has not been able to work on yet?

EasyM, I believe Hyster has used seat side Hydraulics since 1999. The Fortis transmission was developed by Hyster. No copy.
