Years ago I sold one of these and it had strain gauges in it. Like the tech in the weighing bridges for truck stops. Everything great until customer dropped pallet on it and broke it, then mucho warranty finger pointing. Personally I thought that this would happen with most customers at some time.
Anyway maybe the tech is different today
