IIRC the mitsi has the digital hourmeter, however on other trucks that only have an MIL light the electronic throttle surges rhythmically if the MIL light is burnt-out or removed. Not sure whether Mitsi or Nissan trucks do the same, but check the MIL light when powering-up the truck.
