We have bought a second hand EP25K, series n° ETB8B50138 that have had the same problem from new brand, as the older owner comment us.
The power steering electric motor has been burning after short time of work (the first time after 80 hours and the fourth and last after 400 hours). Has been replaced for new ones each time, the last one by us and this time the electric motor came from factory with a built in fan an after 400 hour it burnt again.
Many technicians have been checking the system but nobody found the failure that result in this damage.
My question is if anyone has had similar trouble with it and if due an electric problem or a hydraulic problem.
It seem as the electric motor is too small for the hydraulic pump requirements. In work condition with cold fluid, the motor comptsumition reach 26 Amp. when the maximum must be under 21 Amp as the plate note. When the fluid get warm, it fall down to 23 Amp.
If anyone can give me a clue it will be very helpful because we are very concerned that we can´t use this forklift.
Thanks a lot.
