I was in the same boat and went with forklift training and did a job for sometime as FLT driver - better hours and less stress, especially with a new baby. Forklift training was also cheaper and quicker than HGV. Worth considering if you want more stability. You can look for FLT training providers here: https://hgvlgvtraining.co.uk/find-local-training
