Hello people. Back at this Heli again after a few months as I was busy with other things. After opening the regulator several times and not seeing anything wrong with it i ordered a new Impco model j which was a match for my old unit. Still no joy, before I ordered it I stripped down the throttle body twice and cleaned it spotless. I thought maybe the vacuum pipe was cracked or blocked or something. Again it only runs on tick over and as soon as you press your foot it instantly stops. Then restarts straight away. Now I did a pressure test on the new regulator and it shows nothing at all on tick over and just before it stops after pressing the gas it reads 0.2 bar! As David said it should read 1.5 + this is not much good. When the machine arrived here it ran correctly and would rev out no problem except for it freezing up. But I sorted the blockage in the water line and now the pipes warm correctly. I had also stuck on a new cylinder of gas at that time so today I put back on the old bottle just in case but it made no difference. When I was at this a few months back I created a vacuum while the pipe going to the reg was off and there was a full flow of gas. I also stuck on an ignition tester and the sparking is continuous.
