I will try to help you first off you will not see or feel gas when you take off that hose the secondary from the emco converter is lowering the pressure to about 1/2 pound gas pressure also it is a negative pressure system the engine must be cranking to draw to draw gas into the carb. The best way to tell if this is a gas problem would be to turn off the tank and get some starting fluid spray just a very small amount in the air cleaner and see if the truck turns over if it will not start on starting fluid l would say you dont have a gas problem. If it starts check to make sure you are getting gas on the back side of the emco converter there is a 7/16plug turn the tank on and crank the engine stop cranking and take the plug out you should here gas for a few seconds if not then make sure you are getting gas to the converter make sure the vac fuel lock hose is connected to the carb crack the line coming to the vacuum lock make sure you have vacuum it takes 3inches of vacuum to open the fuel lock. make sure your carb diaphragm is not stuck and has no hole in it. if you still have problem get back to me and we will go from here. Good luck.
