Red oil ie atf or dexron 2 is not the correct oil to use in hyster transmissions, they require jd40 spec oil. The truck will run OK but as soon as the truck stops and the clutch packs dry out the linings disintegrate.
I've seen this so many times and had to tell lots of customers why they are going to be charged a fortune for a transmission overall. Use the correct oil don't just guess. Would you just put any old engine oil in your car engine??
