Have been searching for more written, video information or hands on training about shimming an Carraro FDD35 trans axle beyond the Yale Service Manual suggestion would welcome.
The specific issue is when torque the cap screw to 207 lbf ft drawing the wheel hub and carrier (no shims on the carrier) together crushing the inside and outside output bearings in the housing, it does not achieve the minimum 28lbf ft when rotating the wheel hub there is also still a slight wobble in the wheel hub. I can achieve the 32 lbf ft max spec is 40 lbf ft when rotating the hub by shimming the inside output bearing 1.14mm off the housing, but I have gear on gear noise when in operation on the fork truck. The ring gear, planetary gears, reduction gear, input gear and carrier are new. The Yale supplier used to send bearings in Yale boxes that were FTL 32012X with 26 rollers they are now sending TemKen X32012X bearings with 24 rollers, Currently experimenting with the bearings. Any suggestion that may help would be appreciated Thanks

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
