I had disc version and now cloud. I still have the disk floating around too.
When I first asked for the software our dealer (CAT) didn't say anything. Sold me the software and cable. Tech came out and demoed it with my guys, in the early 2000's. Next version MCFA different dealer (Mitsu) no issues either. Maybe because we have 30 trucks on site? (cat, mitsu, Nissan, and Hyster) Some go back to old VC series cats w/Peugeot engines (love those). In fact when I spoke with the Mitsu dealer to get set up with the latest software and cables I asked if we were odd for doing this and he said he's done it for many of their customers. I doubt they know how many lifts we have though...

Most times we do our own repairs and all maintenance, typically service techs aren't brought in until we're scratching our heads, or we're swamped with plant repairs. I have used dealers and independents and in my area I'm loathed to call anyone. Most indies b/c we have multiple units that are the same get to be parts changers. I've gotten to know a few outside techs that I sort of trust.

As for updating I did an update just today online from the cloud. When I logged in it told me updates available and went ahead with them...I didn't come here to argue and got side tracked reading but I'm here for help clearing a 43 code on a Nissan CPIF2-9W3579. Gone through just about everything we can think of. Looking to trace wires next. we have had a bunch of loom failures that have plagued our Cats.

**** we were told those new evaporators weren't serviceable and weren't rebuilt unit available. So we rebuilt it...Now there are kits out there...seems enough customers complained.

Anyway can you point me in a direction for clearing the code 43? I plan to post my own thread asking and got sideways reading others and then this here...
