A low purchase price is not the top priority in the big truck market in the US. If it were Taylor wouldn't control the market. If a cheaper truck came to market and there was any issues; low quality, poor parts availability etc. they would never get another chance and word would spread very quickly.

Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
