Discussion:
Recommendations for models with with hydraulic safety

We have a client who was injured by a Jungheinrich tip-over when the hydraulic fluid indicator failed to operate accurately and the clamps were stuck elevated and had to be driven out of the aisle to make way for traffic, at which point the tip-over was caused. Was looking to see if anybody knew of a model where lower hydraulic fluid would prevent the forklift from operating entirely, or other warning mechanisms other than the indicator were included as standard. Would especially like Jungheinrich recommendations, but other brands will do. Have had repeated repairs on the hydraulic fluid indicator that have not fixed the accuracy. On the same topic, does anyone know from where exactly these kinds of hydraulic fluid leaks usually occur, or is it all over the map?

Fact of the week
The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
