Raymond EASI REACH:
Raymond EZ-B

I have a Raymond model EASI R45TT
Came in for an oil leak on mast, washed truck and now I do not have forward travel and no codes. All function work with reverse. I swapped control handle nothing. I replaced Q1 and rec 1, regen and rec 2 nothing. I swapped out systems card from another truck with all of the other cards still attach minus the VFC card still no forward. Put the broken truck systems card in the good truck and no problems. I jumpered the motor to another truck still no forward. I removed heat sink from frame of the truck for a short still no forward and no codes.

Thanks for any help I can get

Jeff

Your the man Stam,

I found some transistors in the crib that had to be really old with all of the dust on them and truck goes forward.

I've only been doing this for 5 years and we have 30 of the those old trucks and I think this is the first time I have replaced them.

Thanks for all the help.

Prentice the q1 now comes as a kit. The rectifier you speak of does not replace the one connected to the q1 transistor, it is for the other hole. If it was put in wrong he would have code 23. There were so many warranty claims denied by the factory because guys were not checking the drive components just changing the q1 and watching it blow on first key on. The factory's fix was add the rec to the q1 to force people to change it.
The green light on the powercard is current limit enabled.
Your truck thinks it's moving. If you just keep commanding fwd for an extended period of time does code 29 appear?

Unfortunately this is becoming a difficult repair, if I was there I would make sure all the cards are good, try in your other truck. While the power card is out check the transistor modules behind it. You can swap them as well and see of you gain forward and lose reverse. The truck should be coding 26 if a transistor module was bad but I have had scenarios where it won't.

Edit: do not swap display, this is where primary memory is held.

When you replaced the Q1 did you remove the old SCR or did you hook it back up?? ( Going by memory....not the best) I think the new Q1 you have to remove the old SCR?? Anyone else can confirm or deny - just a thought

You can try the prom from the good truck to test.
The primary memory is held in the display.

One thing that I forgot was with the new power card toward the top of the card there is a red and green light. I think its for a heater or cold storage which this truck does not have. When I try to go forward the green light comes on and no lights when I go into reverse. The good working truck has no lights on in either direction.

Replaced power card with new one and still no forward. Swapped VFC with another truck minus the eprom chip and will not turn on. Tried new VFC with trucks eprom chip and still will not turn on. Wondering if my eprom is bad. If so going to have raymond come in and do a reboot with the eprom. Broken trucks VFC works in the working truck minus the broken trucks eprom.

Rechecked the new Q1 and it's ok, I don't under stand what got shorted at this time I don't care just need it running.

Thanks

Power card been checked? Usually that's what goes and the q1 when you add water.
