Discussion:
Please help to find a forklift for a very wide load

Greetings!
Please advise me on a suitable forklift as I've been looking for it for months now. The problem is that the load is quite large.

Forklift has to lift the load that is:
width- 75 inches
height- 24 inches
length- 114 inches
The weight of the load - 4,850 lb
The loads will be stacked on top of each other and would need to be lifted up to 150-178 inch.

Please advise on forklift capacity. Few dealers calculated the suitable forklift but there estimates where ranging anywhere from 5000lb to 12000lb.

Thank you!

Combilift makes a number of units that would ideally suit your load including one that will still load standard trailer with pallets. I think the reason you are seeing quotes for such large units has to do with your load center and the length of fork required to get proper engagement. Depending on your need for a dedicated or 'universal' machine there are a lot of options out there for you, reach forks could be a big help to you depending on you specific needs.

Feel free to contact me if you want more info or want to discuss the specifics of your specialty handling needs.

Thank you, rick-c!

I was looking among Toyota and Nissan but seems like they don't have similar lifts as Combilift.
