The dash has two types of passwords. Operator pass words, which only allow those with a password to operate the lift. These are not protected passwords. The one the dealer likes to protect is the service password, which allows access to the DTC's and other features. According to NAACO, these are not to be given to customers, but some have gotten access due to size of fleet.
Please post a follow up as to if the dealer will reset the password for you. When my customer requested the same reset- the dealer refused, saying they were the local Hyster dealer & only they could have access to the codes/ etc.
Thx for your (and Swoop) answer.
Swoop is correct, but to further answer your question, it will be possible for the Yale or Hyster dealer to come out and set you machine so it does not need an operator password to be able to drive, as long as you are authorized to make such a request..
you can call your local dealer and have them come out and reset everything for you
