Can you put a voltmeter on the starter solenoid and see if you are actually loosing voltage? I have not seen this problem.
YES starter disengagement ,if i continue to hold in crank position will crank and stop like loosing power to crank relay i think it is in a safety mode ? just cant find any wiring issues yet if i remove secondary coil wire cranks without interruption
when you say it stops cranking does the starter just disengage? or does it stay engaged and stops spinning the engine like the engine is locking up? like a compression lock?
need to figure out if this is electrical or mechanical
IF I DISCONNECT THE COIL WIRE FROM THE DIST CAP IT CRANKS FINE WITH SPARK AND FUEL
Sounds like shorted wiring.
