No foreward or reverse

Recently picked up a customer's truck for repairs,I replaced the ecm wire harness as it didn't start,harness was in bad shape.pulled the transmission dipstick and it was contaminated with water,flushed trans and replaced screw on filter and filter screen.now I'm not getting any forward or reverse.I'm getting 12volts to the trans solenoid when forward and when reverend is selected.when I manually push in the solenoid button the trans engages in forward.I'm stuck please lmk if anyone ever ran into this issue

Fact of the week
In May 2023, a Belgian Malinois named Wilson played a key role in the rescue of four children lost in the Amazon jungle. The young children were missing for 40 days after a plane crash that killed their mother and other adults. Wilson tracked the children's footprints, leading the military to their location.
