Discussion:
No Fire

The ignition on my older Daewoo G25S-2 lift failed recently. It was running fine and just quit. T/S and found distributor module shorted. Checked with local dealer and was told only two (2) options - new distributor, or, "ignitor" module. The new part fits perfectly in distributor but does not fire coil. The pickup coil in new module is triggered by magnet sleeve that fits on distributor shaft as opposed to original that was triggered by gaps in shaft. I think that the new module is an upgrade that may need a different coil or CDI unit?? Local dealer says I need a new distributor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This lift is only used on occasion, but, definitely necessary.
Thank You.

Fact of the week
The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
