Yes I'm sure you saw an improvement but in all likelihood the tuning of the card has been changed to compensate for the change in resistance over time.
So now you must go back and retune the system.
I will go to Flight Systems this afternoon. For the record, the rebuilt drive motor and the new 3 rec made a big improvement in the quality of travel speeds from creep all the way to FW pick up.
Last problem that needs to fixed is odd behavior of 1A.
It seems like a single, double, or triple PMT occurs, it really looks like the 1A contactor can't make up its mind when it is time for the coil to energize and enable the tips to remain closed.
so you just put a motor and a #3 rec in and now your getting the 1A cycling in and out problem eh?
Have you gone to flight systems and downloaded the EV1 manual and looked in there for pointers on what could be causing this problem?
There are several parts in the troubleshooting section that refer to PMT trip scenarios regarding the 1A circuit.
My guess is since you have a new motor in place it has changed the resistance in the drive circuit and you need to do a tuneup (which has already been half way done from your responses)
What you may need to do is do a full tune up using an amp meter and setting these trimpots according to your amp draw readings so you can get the 1A time and Dropout set correctly, also the CL (current limit). With this new motor all those values would have changed and the card needs to be retuned to the new motor.
Of course the contactor itself may be bouncing and by all means check it but there are other things that can cause the 1A to trip out like this and the PMT will kick the 1A out like that if there is an overcurrent situation or short being picked up by the card monitoring circuit.
There are other tests to consider also within this troubleshooting section as well.
correct the url by removing the spaces i added and get this manual and use it, i'm sure it will be very helpful

Did not try that. 1A contactor works fine when scr panel has turned off and 1A is fully engaged. Seems as though the 1A switch is closing when it should remain open.
I will disassemble the accelerator control on Monday.
could also be the contactor assembly itself and/the the driver module. does it hold in well if you jumper past the the driver on the negative side?
Thanks, will inspect Monday morning. From memory, the settings are 5 - 7, notes are at work.
1a switch in the accel control box, and or wires to that switch from the logics. I would include the settings of 1a dropout and p/u as well as 1a time, but you said you 'tuned up' the card.
