Dear chublil,
Thanks again on your advice. In case we want to buy the new one, does Warfield Electric can provide the new control?
Can you help me with the email address & contact person there?
Thank again for your help.
Other than finding a good used controller I really could only recommend replacing the controller. If you do find a decent used one, make sure it came off a truck that is within the same serial range and with like parameters. I know over here in the states, Warfield Electric offers rebuilts on these controllers at a subtantial savings, dont know if you have access to them over there or not but thats where I get all mine done. I know they beat the oem price by at least 40%.
Dear chublil,
Thanks for your response, we already not covered by warranty from Crown dealer in Indonesia, since we do outsource to maintenance the forklift not by Crown dealer, but from other vendor. Yes we had problem with motor short and we had repair it, the control access also had been checked and isolated.
We got recommend from outsource vendor, to replace the access control with the new one, which is quite expensive.
So do you have any suggestion, is there any alternate way beside buy the new one?
First question is how did the firmware get damaged? Was it an internal issue or a massive short to your high side circuitry? Second issue, Crown does not recommend nor will it honor a warranty on your controller if the unit has been dis-assembled. My suggestion would be to isolate and check your high side circuitry for any shorts including your motors and then replace your controller with a new updated version from Crown.
