Discussion:
Multiple error codes F4 F5 6G EASI series ET

Hello, I have to clear F4 and F5 maybe 2 times each. Then lift goes to self test, where the 6G shows up. After going through multiple clearings of these codes the display finall goes into self test without any errors. Now step on deadman....nothing. I've found that If I go through all these steps and then go into maint menu and "clear all tests" after I back out and quit prgm it self tests and everything is normal. Can run with no problems. Until I disconnect battery.....then it all starts again.
Any takers? Thanks

The static strap is required at all times to prevent spikes. It should be under the left side, touching the ground. It is not like a chain dragging, but is a wire connected to a 10 thousand ohm resister.
you may have a crack in the system card or power card. A coiled resister on the board often beaks its connection. I'm not sure if you have any schematics or manuals for this. You should check for shorts to frame. Unplug the battery and use an ohmeter from the neg and positive to frame. There should be more than 10 thousand ohms. If not, you must find the source of the short by unhooking components. If no shorts are present, have the truck jacked up and running in drive. grab the harnesses and wiggle them lightly, also touch the system card and power card and see if the code appears.

Hey RayTech, Thanks for replying. I have an ET series DC. Serial #01323. I have been reading about static straps, but for the like of me I can't figure out what they are talking about. I found one bad solder joint at a small capacitor on the mainboard near the connector to drive board...didn't help.

Hey Cosmic, what type of easi? is it a EZ-C with A/C drive ? Does it have DC or A?C lift?
6G is the lift temperature out of range. You may have a bad splice where multiple Neg wires meet, causing high resistance. F4 and F5 are invalid COP time outs from the VM. I would need to know what model you have.
