Clark C500 SERIES:
main lift ram rebuild help

I have a c500 ys200 converted to a squeeze front end used for moving blocks of hay, the lift ram is leaking out of the bottom, I already bought a seal kit from my local gray lift. My problem is to get the ram out i have to lift the forks all the way up till i clear the top of the ram, then i have to somehow hold the inside track and the forks up while i remove top c clip, lower the ram, then remove it from underneath. How do I keep the forks and inside track up in the air, has any body done this before? Thanks for any input or ideas

You know you can disconnect the primary lift chains and lift in inner rail off the carriage, right?
