Gentlemen ,,, what am I not getting ?
Trying to replace the load wheels on our 30sp36tl stock picker.... on the inside of the axel is a grease nipple with what looks like a cap which would pop off that surrounds it , Thought they would pop off and give access to nut holding on axle since the other end (outer) of axel is flush to the outrigger frame? These inside cap/covers dont budge.. Can anyone give me some guidance on how these load wheels are changed ? ANy help / advsie would be greatly appreciated. thks guys !

Thanks swoop223,, very helpful, Ours was the horizontal slot on outside of outrigger , knocked the rolls pins out , pushed the axel out (towards centerline of machine) , 2 thin spacer washers on each side of wheel, dropped in new wheels, and bobs your uncle. Thanks again for you reply, my old eyes didn't even see the roll pins initially (under all the grease) , Greatly appreciate it swoop223.
My names geo and I've been SWOOPED !!
that cap your speaking of sounds like a grease zerk for a grease needle, if it has a hole in the center of it then thats what it is.
as for how to remove the axle? most crowns i've seen use a snapring recessed inside a machined hole cut out of the outrigger plate or it may have a horizontal slot with a roll pin to knock out.
