Calibrate the lift lower switch or function of the joystick. Remove lower cover of the armrest. Unplug the joystick or lift lower switch with key on. After 20 seconds plug connectors back together. You should see codes come on the display. These will be for calibrating the hydraulics. If you have individual levers, hold the lever in the lower position for three seconds, put in neutral positions for 3 seconds, then in raise position for three seconds. Turn key off, then start truck and test hydraulics. If you have a joystick, you will need to complete calibration for all functions. Make sure to hold the joystick in the selected position for three seconds. Good Luck.
Haven't worked on that model truck but sounds like you have bad volisite fuses in the lift cylinders that would let the cylinders move a few inches after you let go of the control handle just a guess.
