Discussion:
Leaking Wheel Motor

Hi,

Just after some advice on a leaking wheel motor, I have a H80D serial number prefix of H2X353T that has a leaking sealon the drive wheel end. I have taken the mast off and I'm removing the ring of allen bolts. Can we then remove this reduction hub to have the seal replaced? I know there is a castleated nut which is torqured to about 3000nm. I will probably get this sealed by another compant If I can find one.

Thanks Kenco

You will need a special socket that is only available from Linde. I think it cost around $400.00.
You didn't need to remove the mast though. The tough part of the job is removing and retorquing the nut. You will need a big torque multiplier.
