Discussion:
Hyster Vs Doosan Vs Still Vs BT Reach Truck

Have to pick a Reach Truck out of these makes but was wondering if anyone had any feedback on what truck is the better one out there. They are all roughly the same price with Doosan being about 15% Cheaper. Hyster does have the advantage of being available immediately but if we need to wait for a better machine that is something I'd consider.

Not for a heavy warehouse operation, looking at the 1.6 / 1.7 Ton Models.

I am familiar with the U.S Yale/ Hyster reach, they are a good truck. Not sure how the are set up in middle east.

Thanks. How does the Hyster compare against the BT ? Reason being, I need to wait for a few months for delivery of the BT, whereas Hyster I can grab off the shelf here.

Sounds like a BT Reflex RRE 160 with 6.3 triplex mast would be ideal the job.

BT also do a cheaper Reflex B series which is a basic reach truck ideal for small companies who just want a simple reach truck to move / stack stuff about - no idea if its available in your part of the world.

We're only going up to about 6 MTRs and the Loads at that height will be under 1 Ton. The max load on the racks is 1.6 Ton which will only be at the bottom levels. From step one onwards it is less than a Ton. The usage is going to be light, probably an hour or two a day so don't expect failures soon but all of them have reasonably good support and dealer service out here.

How high are you lifting the load & how heavy is it?

Might be better to have a little extra residual weight capacity available from your choice of truck.

BT RRE Reflex you could pick between 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0 ton versions for your application.

Whats the dealer service & parts back up like for all 4 of your choices?

No point buying a truck if the engineer / parts back up then leaves you waiting.
