Hyster S120XLS torque convertor

Does anyone know about a torque convertor giving jerky travel in forward and reverse? Any ideas on what is causing this? My guy usually works on Raymonds, so he is not as familiar.

right. there is 13 pressure points on this transmission. if you sit on seat check port 1 is under your right heel on the transmission this is system presure ,should be about 180 psi.check port 2 is about 3 -4 inches to the left of port1. this is torque convertor pressure should be about 120 psi. then try port 3 which is a comman port for clutch pressure. 3 is slap bang in the middle of the control valve ,it should read about 135 psi. try these 3 first i think you,ll find something here. make sure it,s warmed up and take readings at 3/4 of full engine speed. oil is j20a/c

Ok, my guy says while the unit is in drive and you accelerate at a high RPM, the unit will not move until about a minute or two and then it slowly goes into gear and takes off. He said it wasn't the u-joint.

firstly have you checked the oil , with the engine at tickover. then check linkage is ok ,sometimes the locking nuts on the rods come loose and lengthen the rods.
