Hi there can anyone provide some assistance on this fault with a hyster which has the general Electric EV100 IGBT controller, the logic card is a NH logic. The problem i have is that the BDI always flashes low even after fully charging battery and then eventually BDI lockout cuts in. I tried changing the display and have also altered the differenet parameters for a 48v truck setting in function 15 it made no difference. I also tried setting function 15 to 255 and this obviously cuts the lift out. Is there any pointers as to what or where the problem may be? Has anyone come accross a similar fault with the EV100? Please help. Thank You

Hi there, thank you for the advice. Its the original NH card which originaly worked fine, however the fault had developed at a later stage. As for function 15 its set correctly for a 48v system, and i dont think anyone has tampered with function 13 as no one except for myself had the handset there, but would appreciate the factory settings as this will allow me to check all settings and adjust if required. I could not try another card as i dont have a card available for the EV IGBT controllers. I checked battery voltage output from the logic card to the BDI at the pin of the logic and i have battery voltage, but to be fair did not check at the back of the dash display. Will recheck that next week. The other strange thing i have noticed is that each time i make an adjustment on a parameter i need to actually disconnect the battery discharge the system through the horn button in order for the truck to work after any adjustments are made, i found that strange dont know if anyone can shed any likght on that.
o wait a second
i had this happen in a crown reach truck once that another dealer was trying to fix (unsuccessfully) and i got called in on it
GE has several options when you order a card that the letters at the end of the part number indicate including with or without BDI use
this guy had the same issue
BDI always read dead and it would implement the lift cutout at times
you said you have a "NH" card?
i only have the EVT100ZX book (IGBT) but it looks like you may have the EVT100LX
double check that
if the cards part number is actually "HN" then its EVT100ZX and you have the wrong card fitted
for the EVT100ZX with BDI should have a card lettered "HB"
im not sure if NH for the EVT100LX is for use with a BDI or not
but it looks like its an existing part number
go to FSIP dot BIZ
theyre nice ppl they may help you ID the card to make sure its correct for your application if you call them or email them (eastern time GMT+ 5)
have you tried another BDI? even a generic one from another truck? what does the handset say for battery% while driving with it plugged in?
have you tried another ev100 card?
are you getting battery volts to the dash. i,ve seen bad connection cause this before. rotten wiring under the battery. set function 15 to battery volts. has anybody messed about with function 14 ,internal resistance compensation. i can get you factory setting in the morning.it should be about 13,14or 15. there is a way of working out the correct setting. 2 stall tests and divide aXse from elbow.
