hyster 6 cylinder engine

at work we have a hyster S100 its fitted with a 6 cylinder continental engine 1 of the liners have rotted through so we need another engine
would any one have a good working engine ? or could i convert it to some thing els? if not why. (got to exsplain this to my forman)
i dont have the time to rebuild the engine
so far its not looking good for another engine

unitl i can speak to my forman about the engines on tuesday i was just wondering if there is any thing i can put in insteed on the continental
some that will run happely on gas
