Hi! I'm wondering, how can I test the pot in the handle to know if it need replacement? I have a problem with a wave and from what I heard it can be the pot in the handle that need to be replaced. Here is the problem just FYI :
Almost every times we stop moving with the wave (like to get a box on the shelf or something like that) when we put our hands back on the handles to continue moving the wave won't move and beep with the "grab control" and "control center" error. We have to mess so much with the handles and now its good.
Also, sometimes I'm not on the wave but its still powered on and suddenly it start to beep like crazy and shows "grab control" but no one is on the wave!! lol!
Also, we have a travel alarm on the wave and sometimes when I stop moving the travel alarm still sound for like 5 second like the wave would still be in forward modes. Seems that the wave didnt detect me removing my hands from the handle and still think the handle is in forward position...
So.. its a pot in the handle problem? What/how to check ?
Thanks!

Alright good! Thanks again to have helped me to solve this problem!
Yeah then it may just be hand placement. They tend to be a little annoying in my opinion. I even have issues with my hand placement from time to time.
Ok no worry. I drive with it around and all seems good I suppose. Everytime my hands was on handle it goes at 1 and the moment I remove hands it goes back to 0
Sorry I meant A4.18 and A4.19. Not A2. It should be for RHS and LHS.
Heads up... there is no a2.18 and a2.19
The last one is a2.17 then after that it jump back to a2.1
Thanks will check this out.
A2.18 for the right hand sensor and A2.19 for the left hand sensor. It should go back and forth between 1, sensor closed and 0 sensor open. Drive it around alot and see if it changes even with your hands on the sensor. It will indicate if one is bad.
Good! Is there a way to test if the hand sensor is going bad?
Yeah typically that is the voltage range for that pot. It could be giving that message either because one of the hand sensors is going bad or poor hand placement. Typically we don't have to calibrate on PMs. It's fairly rare for pots to fall out of calibration, but it happens from time to time.
Just a heads up, I tried the calibration of C2 and for now it seems to have fixed the problem! You are my savior haha! Just sometimes, maybe because I remove my hands too fast while the wave is not 100% stopped the orange light comes on with "grap control" so I just grab the handle and its good. No more messing around and acting like it was possessed haha! Do you know how comes this happened (out of calibration)? Is it something I have to do few times during maintenance to avoid it?
Also, here is the voltage I got when doing calibration. Is anything good as its supposed to?
First step when full forward it goes from 2.99v to 1.12v at full forward
Then center is at 2.89v
And full reverse go from 2.89v to 3.89v at full reverse
Alright good will check this out. Thanks for the procedure :)
Use the traction pod to go fully forward and hold. Push the enter button.
Keep the traction pod in the middle and release your hand.
Push the enter button.
Use the traction pod to go fully reverse and hold.
Push the enter button.
After pressing the enter button the screen with either show pass or fail. It should pass, if it fails try the calibration over again. The value shown on the screen is the voltage of the pot. This will also give you a good view if something is wrong with the pot.
I tried calibrating C2 but I tried following instruction on a wave50 and not sure I did it right... when going to C2 I slowly turn forward the traction command handle until it goes to the max position and then what...?
