Discussion:
How to increase speed

I had just bought a used crown PE4500 and am very disappointed in the high speed boost. I changed all performance levels 1-3 and still no improvement. Called the previous owner and he said "they put limits on the speed when they purchased it" and of course the can not find the service manual. My knowledge is poor on the access 123 system. Please help me from spending unnecessary service call.

Go into the service 2 mode you need a 4 digit code to get into it. Go to performance setup you can change the speed fro PUF power unit forward or FF forks forward. I believe the top speed for PUF is 9.5. I would not setthe speed for FF above 6.5 as it is harder to control.

First look at display and make sure you are in P1 mode not P2 or P3 if that is ok. Go into service mode performance and P99 to reset all settings to factory default. After that go into analyzer A2 and look at accelerator either in display or access 3 to see if it moves all the way. Last check weight sensor in display to see if it changes when raising forks because if it thinks you have weight on forks it will restrict speed
