Hi all,
First off, sorry for not including the proper Series/ Model, I'm not sure of it, that's one of my problems. From the looks of it it's a '65 model year and it has the Chrysler flat 6 engine in it. Here are a few pictures of it, hopefully you guys can let me know what it is. This is my dad's machine that I work on for him in my spare time. It's only used once or twice a week for a few minutes. He can't justify a new machine so he decided to have me fix this old beast up.
The problem I'm having is that after putting a whole bunch of work into rebuilding the main lift cylinder and getting the engine running right I found that main valve body(not sure if it's the correct terminology) is leaking. Even before getting the rebuilt cylinder in we had a problem with air in the system and I thought it was because of the leaking cylinder. After the rebuilt piece went in I couldn't get the air out and then we discovered another leak. Well it turns out that the spool valve leaks where the plungers(?) are. My dad had this piece rebuilt a few years ago supposedly and they told us that they couldn't do anything about the plungers, we would have to get a whole new unit.
I'll have more questions later on but I'd like to get this resolved first because we can't use it as is. Some more pictures to help identify the unit. Basically what I'm looking for is if this spool valve can be rebuilt, if not where can I get a new one? Everybody in this area seems to be clueless with this machine since it's considered "ancient".
The pictures are in the link to my photobucket account bellow. I tried to direct link them but there getting censored? Please add "http://" to the link bellow.
