Discussion:
Help identifying Yale electric jack

I need a lowering switch on an old Yale pallet jack. It has only 3 buttons lift, lower, & horn. I have pictures if needed but there's no way to post them here, which is kind of cumbersome.

We are a Yale dealer, I just need to identify the correct model or get a part number for the switch.

i can tell you with almost 100% certainty that you can get that switch easily, but the button on top is going to be a different story.
Probably going to have to come from yale.
I'm pretty sure they are separate parts, i could be wrong though but if i remember right the button fits on top of the switch plunger. It is a snap fit, once they are put together they hard to be taken apart without breaking.

yeah joe i see the pic's you sent
it is older than those i mentioned
i suggested going to a electronics store for a momentary type switch but i see the problem you have is the outer plastic cover is missing too.
like i suggested, find the serial number on the frame, on that truck it should begin with a Nxxxxxx (followed by numbers)

once you have that get with the local yale dealer in your area, they should be able to get you the part numbers you need

unless you find someone with a hardback copy of a manual for those older machines you may not find what you need. The dealer of course would be able to look it up though.

The switch is metal but the button is plastic. The one you mentioned is a smaller diameter and has a rubber slip on cover.

Is that a metal switch? The old jacks used a 080142200 switch that is kind of like the shape of a key switch.

Swoop,

This is older than either an ABN or ACN. Please look at the attached pictures and let me know if you can identify it.
Im looking for the lowering button, as you can see its broken and the customer wants it replaced.

Thanks,
Joe

i'd guess it is probably an MPB040 ABN or ACN?
you can find the serial number on the frame of the truck usualy inside the motor compartment around the base near the right side, on some i think they stamped it in the frame plate on the front in front of the battery, and others i've seen it stamped across the top frame behind the battery along the top where the dash plate is.
Yale had to different serial number types, earlier models begain with an Nxxxxxx (followed by 6 numbers)
later on they went to the 11 digit system like B807NxxxxxA (something that resembles this)

There are 3 places to check :o)
if you find a serial that will help alot
