Discussion:
Hard Starting(running lean)

Ser#H177B50961B
2L Mazda engine
LP low emission Aisan open loop system
Engine will not start unless assisted with a squirt of cleaner or partly cover the carb intake to richen the mixture. Recently replaced the LPG regulator, tune-up and cleaned the carb ( did not remove and dissemble).
Seems to be more predominate when cold. I'm not to familiar with this system but what controls cold start-ups, appears to be some kind of injector on the side of the carb (mixer).
Any help would be greatly appreciated

My customers contacted their fuel supplier, they said 100% of the repairs would be covered. We have new systems that require rebuilds and found dry hoses plugged solid with this waxy deposit

Funny you should say that, we have had a run of problems with contaminated LP. We are seeing continual failure of regulator diaphragms. Some only lasting 50 hours. Trying to get info from the fuel suppliers is like pulling hens teeth.

We have had many issues with LPG systems recently, I been told that some of the propane has been contaminated. This sheds a lot of light on recent problems
I'll let you know what I find regarding the injector
Thx again for the info

I have had the carb cause this problem. The trim injector is usually the problem.

I assumed it was a open loop since it has a resonator, I did not see one on a closed loop, but yes I removed and cleaned the injector. The first month it made a difference or maybe coincendental, guess I should replace it now
Any other checks I should do?

This serial number is for a closed loop truck. Are you sure it is open loop? If it is a closed loop engine, clean or replace the trim injector that mounts at the base of the carb.

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
