Discussion:
Ground side circuit breaker randomly trips

Hey everyone I've got this Skyjack SJ3226 that keeps randomly tripping the circuit breaker for the ground side. Of course every time I go to diagnose it I can't ever get it to duplicate the problem. The customer says every time they move it on their rollback they can get it loaded up and but when they go to unload it the breaker is tripped. I figured they were driving it up onto the flatbed and it was overloading the hydraulic pump and kicking the breaker but turns out when they load it they don't even drive it up, instead they wench it up. Anyone ever seen this before? Thanks!

could also just be a weak/bad circuit breaker
but most definately check for any wiring that might be pinched and grounding out on the frame anywhere where the wiring is ran on the machine. Ground unit, scissor assy where cables are and up in the platform, specifically where the cable comes from underneath.

I see it every once in awhile. Usually happens because the batteries hit the frame in transit.
