Forklift tyres - which one

Hi, i'm new in business and i have come to a problem. I must change tyres on my forklift. I have 3 forklifts. One is on pneumatic tyres and the other two are on solid tyres. I have ofers from several tyre manufactors (Sava, Solideal, Continental, Gumasol, Marangoni, Exaflex, Starco...). PLEASE HELP ME WITH CHOOSING THE RIGHT TYRE FOR ME !!! (price/performance)
Are there any indepandent tests available???

If your trucks are primarily indoors and your chewing up tires:

Clean your warehouse floors regularily.

Inspect your loading docks, make sure that the edge of the dock is not overly exposed when extended into a trailer.

Give your operators space back off of the loading dock all the way to prevent damage to the sidewalls of your tires.

Trucks driven by very abusive drivers on a clean floor can easily get 1 year of service on a set of tires.

I have one customer that runs S155 Hysters all day over railroad tracks and pot holes. I went to a custom ITL (brand) tire with a TFT compound and man I havent had any issues. ITL and Maine tires are owned by GPX international - look them up.
ITL's come stock on all Cats and Mitsubishis and Maine comes stock on all Hysters and yales, GPX owns both of them.
If you have a decent floor run ITL with EL compound, or electric compound, it has less resistance to the ground so less heat buildup, less tire break down.
On pnuematics I use a ITL with a softtuff compound. In my opinion there is no better then ITL

My advice would be to pass the problem to your tyre dealer. Get them to see the application for each of your sites , then recommend the correct tyre at the correct price for that job. When / if the Tyre fails prematurely, you then can go back to them for compensation / bigger discounts.

I am having problems with chipped tyres. Actually, it is an understatement. I actually have tyres that break off in chunks. My vendor keeps blaming our tractor drivers driving over sharp uneven surfaces. While I do not dispute that fact, I still wonder if the tyre quality has anything to do with it.

Our forklifts are used mainly in the warehouse. Ocassionally, they are driven out onto the tarmac.

Any advice on what to do? I am told to try Aichi, Japan. Is it much better for my kind of environment i.e. tropical climate, warehouse and uneven roadways.

You can't go wrong with Continental SC 15 or solideal magnum. We use Vorwerk Rota which are excellent and a good price. Forget Gumasol they have quality problems at the moment.

Trac tire is the brand it is a relined ring. Have had these tires peel off the ring lots.Even when they dont they wear fast and chunk out. A good Main tire will out last them
