FB20KT - Hydraulic problem.

I have a problem with a customers FB20KT, It has the finger tip controll.
Some times the hydraulic doesent work. The pump motor starts and it sounds like when you tilt ore lift to the max. But nothing happens, If I press the emergensy botton and release it the hydraulics works again.

When the problem occur non of the four functions work, so its not a problem with a ft lever and since the pump motor starts im thinking that the problem has to be in the Hydraulic manifold? Can it be a valve wich is fixed open so the oil runs back to the tank? Even when it runs good I think its a strange screaming noice from the system..

Have anyone had the same problem? I would like to hear your thoughts on this!

Thanks.

Im just lifting this thread to tell you what the problem was.

In the fingertip armrest there are two big relays, one of these relays should be replaced with a new smaller kind of relay with part nr 9700502400. It comes with a connector that fits into the existing harness.

You can see wich of the relays you should change if you check the cables in the connectors ones you have the new part.

This solved the problem for me!

Thanks for your answer! But I dont think its the pump, the forklift have worked ok since I posted here. Still waiting on the problem to come again so I can do some testing. The noice doesent come from the pump, its sounds like it comes from the hydraulic manifold.

I would guess you need a new pump, I have replaced a few of these pumps in the past. I don't think the emergency button has anything to do with the fault because if the pump is making noise when you use the controls the chances are the problem is mechanical rather than electrical. Good luck.

Do you have any idea about why it works again after pressing and releasing the emergensy button?

ive had one of these seize the pump
check the relief valve too

main relief pressure is 18142 kPa min you can have up to + 490kPa extra (2631psi +71 -0)
if youre reading very low pressure the pump has a problem or if its real high the relief valve might have malfunctioned

Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
