Thanks for your help. I'll make the call.
yeah i did some more digging and did find that smart system supplement with those codes in it. sure, broken wires at that connector would explain the 9-3 code. The eeprom fault is a different story though, could have happened when those wires broke, could have shorted out on the frame and corrupted the eeprom. I'm not totally sure if they can be flashed in the field, the handset does not have that capability and i do not know of any laptop program for these units, JLG only offers that handset as far as i know. Again, you may still have to consult JLG engineering on that one, either they will say to replace the controller or send it in to be reprogrammed. Only they can answer that one i'm afraid.
I actually found the book on the JLG website. Fixed 9-3 (mux stream not being updated) Broken wires at the platform control box connector underneath. 9-2 is an EEprom fault. I'm thinking that's what you said of the controller. Have to study up on the EEprom. Any more info would be appreciated.
chris,
you may need to call jlg engineering for help on this since it is not listed in the fault code list.
the 9 indicates it is a hardware related issue it just isn't something listed.
This may be a controller failure but i'd let JLG confirm that before you go and buy one.
