Motor will require removal and stripping on the bench, encoder bearing needs to be removed with a puller and new one pressed into place. Encoder is internal to motor.

How hard with the encoder be to replace, or is it possible to repair it. It appears that water enter the top of the hyd motor from cleaning the battery. This possibly caused something to go wrong with the encoder.

Access module not seeing movement of hydraulic motor when it should. Could be as simple as hydraulic lever switch being stuck or motor encoder bad or as bad as hydraulic motor or access module. See if small trouble shooting manual is still under hood back on the counter weight and follow it.

Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
